I'm Gaby, founder of the GLORIELLAS shoe label, and together with you I regularly dive into the world of fashion trends and stories. I'll share with you the stories I've come across while developing the GLORIELLAS brand, share my knowledge of high heels, tell you about high heel wearers and what inspires me in my everyday life and in fashion.
How do I come to develop my own high heel brand?
As a passionate high heel wearer, I am almost desperate in my search for the perfect high heel. After more than 20 years in BEAUTY (Head of Marketing at the pharmacy brand EAU THERMALE Avène), I turned my passion for fashion into a career and developed GLORIELLAS, a solution for an elegant and comfortable high heel.
What connection do I have to fashion?
During my studies, I worked for a French fashion label in sales for 6 years, advising customers, decorating shop windows and developing an affinity for fashion over time.
What are my strengths and what am I not good at?
I am a very creative person, pragmatic and solution-orientated. Patience is definitely not my strong point. So it can happen that I ignore the assembly instructions for a cupboard and just get on with it - with the risk of having to do some things twice.
What is fashion for me?
Fashion also has a lot to do with visibility and self-marketing, it can boost our self-confidence. Authenticity and your own style are very important to me and have to be lived properly for it to work for you. I find the saying "Clothes make the man" quite fitting. You shouldn't feel "dressed up", but for me fashion is a good tool for expressing your mood, it helps you to slip into a "certain role" and adopt the appropriate attitude. Wearing high heels in particular does more than you might think: not only does it make you taller, it also straightens your whole body and contributes to a confident appearance.
What does the GLORIELLAS shoe label mean?
Inspired by Italian fashion and motivated by my own passion, I founded the GLORIELLAS label: it combines beauty and fashion with an important mission: to feel self-confident and emphasise one's own natural charisma. GLORIELLAS are not "just" high heels - they convey a special attitude to life. With our stilettos, every moment becomes an individual appearance. Beauty, design and quality meet strong women. The literal derivation of the brand name GLORIELLAS means "the honoured one" and is therefore a tribute to the pump and to Italy.
How I would describe my style:
I love to combine and create something completely new from a simple BASIC such as a classic pair of jeans. It is important to me to create consistency by using clever designs and durable materials and not to chase after every fashion trend.
That's why I opted for a classic stiletto for the GLORIELLAS design - timelessly elegant and suitable for many outfits and styles.
The entire outfit and the effect of the wearer take centre stage
Combining different styles - the so-called "MITCH & MATCH" - such as leo with glamorous gold - is also one of my "trademarks".
Together with an Italian designer, I have developed a small collection of shoe accessories for a personalised look. With these GLORIELLAS shoe clips, you can create new looks in no time at all, true to the motto ONE SHOE - MANY LOOKS, so everyone can give free rein to their creativity.
By the way: the clips are also sustainable, as leather remnants from shoe production are used to make the flowery shoe clips.
